Update, news and new DEBAFLO and Alex Ronald art
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 01, 2018 at 11:15:49 PM

Olympus Legions!

Kickstarter finally sent the funds, and I started sending out payments to get the various stretch goals under way. As soon as the art starts coming in I will be sending it off to print and sharing it with all of you.

I will begin working on the backerkit tomorrow and at this point I believe it will most likely be Monday when it goes live.  The main reason is because I have been feeling ill for most of yesterday and today so it is of course making it more difficult to get it done sooner.  I'll post an update if I get it done sooner of course.

In other news, I have a new limited edition Patriotika #1 exclusive variant cover and 11x17 print coming to our etsy shop soon: A Star Wars movie poster homage by Alex Ronald!  He is the artist of our Grand Collector rare variant metal cover. Here is the work in progress:

I'll post here and on our social media as soon as it is available in the shop.  There will only be 100 regular cover available, numbered to 100, and 30 chrome numbered to 30.  I may also do a small run of metal variants if people are interested in a metal variant of this. Post below if you are interested in buying a metal variant of this cover, metal variant price would be $75. Most likely numbered to 20 or 25. I'll be posting the finished colored version as soon as I receive it.

We've also got the Phoenix Comic Fest variants under way. Here is the finished line art by Mike Debaflo, it's been sent off to color by Ceci De La Cruz who colored the Patriotika 2 metal Debaflo variant.  The background will be the Arizona flag:

We'll have the regular cover numbered to 150, the chromes numbered to 30 and the metal numbered to 25. The metal will be our first ever Metal Virgin variant - that means no logos, just the numbering on the bottom right and made of metal. We have had many preorder requests after showing this on social media so there is a good chance this will all sell out fast.  We'll have them on our Etsy shop and at our table at Phoenix Comic Fest Artist Alley Table AA828.

I came across The Patrons kickstarter the other night and I must say the art looks really great.  The concept is cool too so of course I backed it. I recommend checking it out:

Update and upcoming conventions
almost 7 years ago – Wed, Apr 25, 2018 at 09:37:09 PM

Olympus Legions!

Kickstarter has collected the funds and will now be holding them for about a week or so.  This is standard and once the funds are released to me I will be able to get the remaining artists and cosplayers to work on their stretch goal rewards.  As I get the art in from those artists and cosplayers I will be posting updates to show all of you.

This week and next week I will be building the backerkit site.  This is the website that will be sending you an email for you to enter your mailing address and to get additional add ons that you might have missed. I am aiming for the end of next week(Friday) to launch the backerkit site but I will update between now and then.  It may take me a little longer since this campaign had much more people interested in add ons than the previous two.

Upcoming comic cons:

Our next comic con coming up is Phoenix Comic Fest May 24-27, at artist alley table AA828:

http://phoenixcomicfest.com/

We'll have cosplayer Stephanie Van Taylor at our booth all weekend and 3 exclusive Phoenix Comic Fest variants!  And we will have the books available online at our Etsy store during that weekend while supplies last.

Patriotika #1 Phoenix Cosplay variant with AZ Powergirl Cara Nicole as Patriotika - she will be at our table for one hour signing the book too!

Patriotika #1 Phoenix Bikini Variant by Mike Debaflo and Ceci De La Cruz, regular, chrome/holofoil and VIRGIN METAL! All numbered! This will be the second cover ever to be metal for Patriotika #1, and the first ever Virgin(no branding or logos except for the numbering) that can be obtained outside of the Omega Envelopes.  We'll only have a small amount of Metal and Chrome variants so make sure to pick them up fast if you are interested. Here is the work in progress sketch:

Valkyrie Saviors #1 Phoenix Variant - by Pin up artist / Lady Death artist David Harrigan! Available in regular and chrome/holofoil! All numbered! There will only be a small amount of Chromes(between 30-50). If there is enough interest/feedback I may do a metal version too in a very small amount as well. This one will feature a giant size Larissa in bikini leaning against the Phoenix Convention Center!

I'll post an update with the art as soon as I receive it.

The next two shows are ACE Seattle Comic Con and Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con. We will have exclusives and cosplayers dropping by our booth for those shows and will announce more details once we are closer.

Important update about Declined payments and Artwork sneak peek
almost 7 years ago – Mon, Apr 16, 2018 at 09:24:12 PM

Olympus Legions!

Thank you all again for helping to make Patriotika 2 a reality and helping to get the ball rolling on Patriotika 3! I'd like to hear back from you if you prefer the next Patriotika is the prequel 48 page graphic novel, or issue #3. Either way it will be in the Fall.

Some bad news: There's several people who's card declined on Friday. It's actually enough to take us down a full stretch goal - but I will still honor the stretch goal even if this happens.  Please check and update your credit card info if you received an email from me or from Kickstarter. You can log into your kickstarter account and you should see a notice at the top of the page requesting you update your info.

Some good news: Artists have begun work on the various stretch goal rewards. Some of the stretch goals were finished before the kickstarter itself, even one that we did not reach - the Damaged outfit Patriotika and T-Rex by Jean-Francois Beaulieu!  It will be a cover in the future:

I'll be posting more updates as artwork comes in from the various artists and cosplayers.

Backerkit surveys will be going out in about two weeks from today.

KICKSTARTER SPOTLIGHT

Every now and then I'll be sharing a kickstarter I think you guys might enjoy.  These will usually be kickstarters I myself have backed.

I recently met the creator of Spinerette at C2E2 and they were very cool plus I really enjoyed the artwork and character ideas! We traded books and I just backed their kickstarter.  There's definitely some 90's influence so check it out, I think you might enjoy it:
